HOUSE SWIMMING CARNIVAL 2023
House Swimming Carnival
On Tuesday, February 7th, with a blue sky and warm weather, and with the best House spirit shown by students for many years, the annual Red Cliffs Secondary College House Swimming Carnival was held at the Red Cliffs Swimming Pool.
Special mention is given to Grace Mapapalangi and Cecelia Senaki who barracked loudly and superbly all day, encouraging many swimmers, and not just their Allungah team mates. Special mention is also given to Mr. O’Toole who is a very passionate supporter of Warragai and was overjoyed to see a Warragai victory after many years of drought! In a close contest throughout the day between Warragai and Allungah, Warragai came out the victors.
Results for each House were as follows:
Place | House | Points |
1 | Warragai | 466 |
2 | Allungah | 417 |
3 | Terragong | 333 |
4 | Bindaree | 189 |
With many close battles held throughout the day, the eventual age group champions were as follows:
12 to13 year old Boys | 14 year old Boys | 15 year old Boys | 16 year old Boys | 17 year old Boys | 18 to 20 year old Boys |
Elijah Amos | Nicholas Hahnel | Ashton Gowers | Cooper Germane | Jafar Ibrahimi | Luka Baudewyns |

I would like to express a huge thank you to the Red Cliffs Swimming Club and to the staff at Red Cliffs SC for their hard work in making the day run very smoothly indeed.
