Principal's Report

Dear Parents, Carers and Friends of St Brendan’s.

I apologise for not writing my usual newsletter article this week. I am at home unwell. After nearly three years, Covid has finally caught up with me!

Below is a copy of the words I spoke to our community at our Mother’s Day Mass last Thursday. I hope all the women of St Brendan's enjoyed a beautiful day on Sunday.

Have a great week and I look forward to being back at school very soon.

Warm regards,

Sue

What a beautifully sacred, heartfelt and special Mass!

Thank you so much Father Shymon for celebrating Mass with us today.

To our very clever and special Foundation students, their teachers and LSO’s, thank you so much for sharing your hard work, your creativity and love to make this Mass so very special.

Foundation H and Foundation R children, our whole school community is so very proud of you.

I’m sure that your mummies, nanas, aunties and special friends are so happy and proud in their hearts right now.

I am happy, proud and grateful to you all.

To our wonderful Religious Education Leader, Emma and our beautiful choir, thank you for always making our Masses and liturgies so sacred and so special.

To the rest of our beautiful students and their teachers and LSO’s, I am so proud of you all too. Thank you for being who you are and for helping to make our school a joyful and wonderful place to be.

Finally, to the magnificent women of St Brendan’s community, whether you are a mother, a grandmother, an aunty, a sister or a special friend, whether you have one child or more than one, whether you are pregnant, whether you have never had a child for whatever reason, whether you have lost a child or loved a child who came in a special way into your life and care, I want to say this:

  • I see you
  • I hear you
  • I admire you
  • I acknowledge you
  • I honour you
  • I respect you

Thank you for sharing your feminine energy with

  • Your family
  • Your school community
  • Your parish community
  • Your wider community
  • Your country
  • Your world

It is this feminine energy that our world now needs more than ever.

Share it lovingly wherever you can every day.

Thank you for being who you are and for being here today.

I wish you all a truly beautiful day on Sunday.

Happy Mother’s Day to you all.
