Good Afternoon Families of OLSC 

And that's a wrap for 2022.  I sincerely thank everyone for their commitment and involvement in the OLSC community in 2022.  This was a great year with many successes as we finally managed a full school year without any Victorian lockdowns.  

I wish each member of the school community a very happy and holy Christmas and a relaxing summer break.  I hope you all get to enjoy some quality time with your loved ones whether you are travelling on holidays or remaining at home.

Year 6 Graduation 2022 

Last night we farewelled our 2022 Year 6 students with a graduation mass.  It was a relief for us all that we could have this celebration without adhering to density limits as was the case in the last two years.  

The Year 6 students enjoyed their celebration and some of the students even arrived at the event in a limo!  I thank each of the Year 6 students for their contribution to the OLSC school community and wish them well in all of their future studies and endeavours.  

2023 School Leaders 

Last night the graduating school leaders passed on the leadership of the school to the 2023 school captains and vice captains.  The badges were blessed by Father Albert as part of our liturgical celebration.  

Congratulations to our school captains for 2023 Samuella and Isabel and vice captains Samuel and Zoe.  

Departing Staff  

We say farewell to 2 members of staff at the end of this year.  Hazel Raymundo and Valerie Myers will be moving onto other roles in 2023.  Hazel has been a prep teacher here at OLSC for a few years now and many of our prep students have benefitted from Hazel's care and support.  Valerie joined our school during the year and has been working as a specialist STEM teacher with the students from 1/2, 3/4 and 5/6.  

I wish both Hazel and Valerie well in their future endeavours.
