OHR Athletics Training day
Last Thursday we had a wonderful morning up at the Box Hill Athletic Track.
The students divided into age groups, 9/10 years, 11 years and 12/13 years and tried both track and field events.
A huge thank you our Dad's Rod and Jason and also Josh from Deakin University for your expertise and encouragement.
Grade 3/4 Soccer Day
Tomorrow we wish all the Grade 3/4's a fun day at the annual District Soccer Day.
The day will be held at Hislop Park.
Sporting Schools - Judo starting today at OHR
Judo 4 Kids is an four-lesson introductory program combining fun and physical activity for children along with the learning of fundamental judo techniques, terminology and values; including friendship and respect, that will stay with them throughout their lives.
Judo 4 Kids is a fun and enjoyable way for children to learn Judo and benefit from the various social, physical and mental benefits that this great Olympic sport can provide. Judo has a strong moral culture that can enrich children’s lives from the mat to their everyday life.
Each lesson involves the participants learning various judo terminology in the Japanese language and judo techniques and skills through integrated game play. The program is designed to provide children of all abilities the opportunity to have a successful first experience of Judo in the school environment.
We warmly welcome our Judo coaches for the next 4 weeks Ryley and Maria to our school. They will be delivering the Judo 4Kids program during P.E.
