2023 St Agnes' Sports Carnival

On Friday 24th March, St Agnes' held its annual sports carnival at Rowans Road Athletics Track after some massive storms the previous day. All St Agnes' students competed in sprints and rotations consisting of frisbee golf, triple jump 200 metres for the senior students and long jump, vortex throw and shuttle relays for the junior students.

In an overcast 20 degrees St Agnes' students enjoyed the day representing their house colours.  All house colours did really well and it was very close at the end.  This year the overall trophy went to Blue House, for the first time in many years.  The achievement trophy went to Red House and the encouragement trophy went to Yellow House.

The carnival is a great St Agnes' community event.  It was wonderful to see so many parents and grandparents present on the day.  Thanks to the mums and dads who competed in the parents race. Congratulations to Mrs Josie Miller for winning the teacher race and special mention to Mr McMahon coming second in a photo finish by a beard.  The children love seeing parents and staff getting involved.

I would like to say a big thank you to the teachers and parents who helped out.  Most of all I thank the Year 6 Students for helping with the rotations, they did an amazing job.

Congratulations to all our St Agnes' students, we are all very proud of you.

Kind Regards,
