NAPLAN 2022, Years 7 and 9

The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN), the annual assessment for students in Years 7 and 9, began on Tuesday 10th May (Week 3) and will conclude on Wednesday 18 May (Week 4).

As in previous years, students will need to bring their fully charged Chromebooks and headphones.

*A reminder, NAPLAN is a point-in-time assessment that allows you to see how your child is progressing against national standards in literacy and numeracy and over time. 

Your child could find NAPLAN stressful. Here are some tips for reducing stress:

1. Listen to your child and give support.
2. Before your child comes to school on the day of the test, be reassuring and positive.
3. Discuss a “try your best” attitude.
4. Practice. Do some revision of skills and practice questions with your child.
