On Tuesday 3 May selected Secondary students travelled to Armidale to compete at the Armidale Diocesan Cross Country Trials. These students did a fantastic job showing off their long distance running abilities, competing against students from around the Diocese. Well done to all runners on the day.

A special congratulations goes to Caleb Scholl who was outstanding on the day. Caleb has qualified for the NSWCCC Cross Country to be held in Eastern Creek on Tuesday 7 June. Goodluck, Caleb!

Primary Diocesan Cross Country

Last week, on Friday 6 May selected St Philomena's Primary students travelled to Barraba to compete at the Primary Armdiale Diocesan Cross Country Trials. It was a very exciting day as it was the first time in many years that each of the 24 schools around the Diocese had a representative at the event.

All of our runners did an amazing job, with most students smashing their cross country personal best! Mrs Crittenden was very impressed with how the St Philomena's students supported and cheered on each other throughout the day. Well done to all of our runners, St Philomena's is very proud of you!

A special congratulations goes to Hamish Crittenden who placed third in the 10yrs boys event. Hamish has qualified for the NSWCPS Cross Country Championships to held in Eastern Creek on Tuesday 7 June. Goodluck, Hamish!

St Philomena's Athletics Carnival (track events) will be held on Thursday 23rd June at Boughton Oval. The field event finals will be held on Thursday 16th June at school.
