An Outstanding Semester in Sport

As we reach the conclusion of another Term, I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation to the Clayfield College Senior Leadership Team, staff, coaches, students and parents for their invaluable contributions to what has been an exceptionally successful Term of Sport and Activities.

To our outstanding students, I commend you for your unwavering dedication, resilience, and adaptability throughout the Term. Your positive approach to sport, thirst for improvement, and boundless enjoyment have been truly remarkable. You have embraced every opportunity and triumphed over challenges.

Amidst the bustling Term, I was delighted by the overwhelming attendance of support at fixtures and events. The support shown at QGSSSA Championships and Fixtures, Andrews Cup and Britton Shield events was truly outstanding. My sincere congratulations go to our Sport Captains, respective Sport Leaders, and Clayton the Croc for their outstanding efforts. I would also like to extend my gratitude to our boarding students for their active involvement in supporting CC Sport programs week after week.

To our dedicated coaches, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for your tireless efforts in guiding our students towards reaching their full potential. The commitment displayed by CC Sport coaches in ensuring that every student feels supported is commendable, and their enthusiasm for providing high-quality programs has not gone unnoticed. Their passion and unwavering dedication has played a pivotal role in driving personal and CC Sport progress throughout Semester 1. I wish them a well-deserved and restful vacation.

Lastly, I would like to express my deep appreciation to the parents. Your unwavering commitment to your child’s experiences in sport via support, encouragement and active participation has made a profound impact. Your involvement strengthens our community and empowers CC Sport and its students to thrive.

Semester 1 Sport Assembly - Awarding of Pockets

This week, we came together for the Semester 1 Sport Assembly and I was filled with immense pride and joy. It was a truly momentous occasion as we celebrated and recognised the extraordinary accomplishments of our sports teams and individual athletes and our indomitable spirit of sportsmanship. It was also an opportunity to acknowledge the unwavering support of our coaches, staff and parents who have nurtured and guided our student athletes throughout Semester 1. It is thanks to their tireless efforts and support that made it all possible.

Moreover, our College can boast of several State and National representatives among our ranks. These exceptional athletes have showcased their skills at the highest levels of competition, representing the College and themselves with dignity and pride. Boys' Sport - Highlights

Congratulations to Finn Latimer (Year 7) and Josh Mathew (Year 7) for their outstanding achievements in representing the College in their respective sports.

Finn showcased his talent and determination at the recent Metropolitan North Cross-Country Trials, taking on a challenging course and fierce competition. Despite the unfamiliar terrain, Finn embraced the experience and eagerly anticipates further growth and future competitions.

Josh demonstrated his exceptional skills on the City District Tennis team, securing a spot to compete at the Metropolitan Tennis Trials. Through a series of demanding matches, Josh displayed resilience and perseverance, finishing 6th. As a result, he has earned his place on the Metropolitan North Tennis team, which will compete at the Queensland School Sport State Championships later this year.

Once again, congratulations to Finn and Josh on their outstanding accomplishments!
