Mrs Kathryn Searle - Head of Boarding
Thank you for a wonderful Term which has been jam-packed with activities, sport, assessments, and block exams. Well done to the girls with their dedication to their studies and thank you to our staff for their support and dedication to our girls.
Thank you also to the parents and carers who joined us on Wednesday evening for the Friends of Boarding meeting.
Welcome to our 2024 New Boarders
It was great to recently meet some of our new boarders for 2024 who slept over as part of their Experience Day. Attending as many school events as possible leading up to commencement at a new school is brilliant for familiarisation and makes the transition seamless, especially when boarding is going to be your new home.
Food Survey
This week the boarders received a Chartwell’s Food Survey for completion so we can receive valuable feedback on food offerings in boarding. The results will be shared with you at the beginning of Term 3.
Medication
Please be reminded, as per our Medication Policy in the Boarding House, if we provide medication for your daughter, it will be kept safely in our First Aid Room and administered accordingly. Students are not to hold medications in their rooms.
Term 3 Return
Boarders’ return day for Term 3 is Sunday 9 July. We will be in-house from 10:00am on this day. Please remind the girls of the uniform policy upon their return from holidays: natural coloured hair; no acrylic nails; no fake tans; and no other piercings other than one sleeper or stud earring only per ear. Please note, approved pearl earrings are to be the size of the Uniform Shop supplied pearls.
We look forward to welcoming five new students and their families to boarding in Term 3.
I will be away for the upcoming holiday break. If you wish to contact the Boarding House, Christine will be in-house weeks 2 and 3 and can be contacted on 3262 0221 or boarding@clayfield.qld.edu.au.
Happy holidays!
