Sayembara Lisan 2023 

On Monday 29 May, 33 students in Years 7 and 8 enjoyed a bus trip to Ocean Grove for the annual Sayembara Lisan Indonesian Speaking Competition.  

Over two days, 233 students from several regional schools gave their best.  They answered general questions about themselves, read a passage about either a friend, a pet or school and subjects and answered unseen questions about their passage.

Afterwards students enjoyed a Balinese lunch at Nova Bali Kitchen: nasi goreng (fried rice) mie goreng (fried noodles), prawn crackers (krupuk) and lumpia (spring rolls).  

Congratulations to the following students who have made it through to the finals on Saturday 22nd July -

Year 7 Beginning Indonesian: Bella B, Jasmine B, Georgia F, Belle D, Pippa O, Indi R.

Year 7 Continuing Indonesian: Indee S, Bella P, Lacey P, Anastasia C, Tara R.

Year 8 Beginning: Ellie W, Sam B

Year 8 Continuing: Lily H, Ann P, Sophie U, Indy J.
