ARTS MATTERS

SURVIVOR ART CHALLENGE

On Thursday 29 June, all Year 8 students completed the 2017 Survivor Art Challenge. There were five different events the island groups could participate in and each individual group needed to pick one challenge to enter:  making T-shirts, designing immunity necklaces, crafting masks, making immunity idols and designing TV intros.

These challenges were designed to test each group’s knowledge, communication skills and teamwork. Students were assessed on their ability to work cohesively as a group to research, plan and implement their own artworks and a winning Island group was chosen.

At the end of the day, the winners of the 2017 Survivor Art Challenge was Flinders Island.
