From the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome back to Term 3 and Distance Learning.

The term started smoothly with children on site at school or at home, once again engaged in Distance Learning.  I acknowledge that there were some challenges for some families last term at the onset of Distance Learning  but I can reassure you that the teachers have adapted  the Distance Learning Plans to accommodate the needs of the students with more Live Meets,  both whole class and for working with small groups.

Over the last two weeks there have been many activities that  I would like to keep you updated with:

  • Parent Teacher Meetings held through the  Whereby online platform
  • Parent Support Group Meetings held through Whereby
  • 35 laptops were given out to families
  • Teachers prepared and organised distribution of 145 student packs
  • Promotional Video filmed which is to be uploaded on to our School Website for prospective parents
  • Pavilion Stage started to be built
  • New bag lockers for children installed
  • Interior painting commenced
  • Stair nosing upgrading to both stairwells
  • Sandpit equipment made available for the students
  • Library decor updated to enhance the love of reading
  • Issuing of masks to all staff and ensuring all PPE materials are maintained

These are all necessary items that continue to make our educational environment  current with trends, ensuring that parents are informed, students are engaged and staff and students are happy and safe.

I keep our school community in my prayers that we are all kept safe and well, knowing that we are all working together for the wellbeing of students, staff and parents.

Sincerely yours

Margaret Carlei

Principal

School Fees

Payment of school fees for 2020 is due by 7th August unless you are on a payment plan. Statements have been issued this week. If you are having financial difficulties please contact me to discuss a plan.

All families have been given a credit for the cancelled swimming program and families with students in Yr 3-6 have been given a credit for the cancelled camps. If you have already paid your fees in full the amount will be rolled over as a pre-payment for 2021 unless you request otherwise. Families who have paid in full and have a student in Year 6 will receive a refund.
