What is your role at Concord School?

9/10 Team Leader

Provide us with a ‘snapshot’ into your daily routine at Concord School:

So far I have spent my time trying to quickly become familiar with Concord School’s processes and the day to day running of the school.

I have enjoyed spending time in classrooms getting to know the teachers and students in my section. I am looking forward to working closely with them on a day to day basis.

What do you love most about working at Concord School?

The people. Everyone has been so friendly and welcoming in my first week. The students all seem to know my name already and greet me warmly whenever they see me.  My team, and all of the other staff, have been so helpful answering my many questions as I learn about the school.

Fast Six:

Favourite Food:

That is tricky! I love pretty much everything.  Lots of spice and flavour.

Favourite Movie/TV Show:

I love The Wire, House of Cards and Mad Men.

Favourite music:

I listen to a lot of different music, I grew up listening to triple j and still listen to whatever they are playing most days.

Hidden Talent or Something We May Not Know About You:

I love to cook, especially with my kids. I love making gnocchi with them like I used to make it with my Nonna.

Favourite Sporting Team/Athlete:

North Melbourne Footy Club & Richie Porte.

If You Could Pick Any 3 People as Dinner Guests, Who Would They Be and Why?

-Michelle Obama, I think she is a smart, compassionate and inspirational woman.

-Stan Grant, when I travelled around Australia last year I discovered that I have a lot to learn about Aboriginal culture. I would love to spend some time talking to Stan and learning from him.

-Cadel Evans, I loved watching him win the Tour De France.

What is your role at the Concord School?

Year 9/10 classroom ES

How long have you been at Concord School?

Since the beginning of 2016 - just over 1 year now

Provide us with a ‘snapshot’ into your daily routine at Concord School:

In the morning, I come in and check for any emails or information I may need to know and do any laminating, photocopying etc. for the classroom teacher.

Once the students come inside, I check their communication books and help get everyone settled in for the day. Then I assist with the student’s classwork and provide help when needed. On Wednesdays and Fridays, I am out of the classroom until lunchtime for the Fit for Life and STEAM programs.

In the afternoon, I again assist students with their work and tidy up the classroom ready for the next day!

What do you love most about working at Concord School?

I love being able to meet and get to know so many different students from all areas around the school and also the amazing team I get to work with.
