ACTING PRINCIPAL'S REPORT - MR GRIMMER
At this stage we have not received any information regarding the date for a possible return to onsite learning. Many of you may have heard the discussion around this in the news over the past couple of days where the Education Minister, James Merlino, spoke about his desire to return to school during Term 4. Whether this is at the beginning of Term 4 we still do not know. As soon as I receive confirmation of a date I will let all families know via Compass. Until then I encourage all students to continue to engage in the learning opportunities that are being presented by their teachers and keep up the high standards that are expected across the college. We have included a number of work samples from students again in this edition of the newsletter because it's fantastic to recognise the wonderful effort many of our students are putting in during this time.
Once again I would like to thank and congratulate our students across all year levels on their work and acknowledge the support families are providing their children during remote learning 2.0.

MILDURA AIRPORT COMPETITION
Matilda Smith in Year 5 has taken out first prize for her design of Mildura Airports, Garden Cafe Caravan.
Primary students from around Sunraysia were invited to come up with a design for their new Garden Cafe.
Matilda planned her design and worked on the detail during her art sessions and at home.
In the next couple of weeks Matilda will get to see her design of the Garden Cafe unveiled at the Mildura Airport.
Merbein P-10 College would like to congratulate Matilda on her outstanding effort and achievement - we are very proud of you!
MISS DOWNES' STUDENTS' REMOTE LEARNING
Over the past 3 weeks students have been involved in STEM tasks where they have created and engineered different constructions. We have had eggs that do not smash, groovy glasses and an umbrella to be used on a rainy day. Students used a variety of different materials to create their constructions.

We have pictures sent in by parents of students' remote learning.
