WELLBEING

Term 2 and 3 WOW activities

During Term 2 and 3 our wonderful Year 6 leaders will be holding WOW activities at lunchtime every Tuesday and Wednesday. The activities will rotate between leadership groups every fortnight and will be fun and engaging for all year levels. Please see below the activities organised for this week (week 4) and next week (week 5).

Be sure to ask your children if they have joined in any of the WOW activities.

CISS-Child Information Sharing Scheme

At St James we love to work in partnership with our community. Especially our students, parents and teachers. Last year a new reform was introduced to allow for better transparency across all areas of support that children and their families may be receiving. Therefore it is really important to the development of the whole child that if there is support being given externally to school and it affects the child's academic, behavioural or social and emotional needs that the correct staff are made aware of this. This will help us to work together to form strategies and support that is consistent across the students' school day and home life.

If you are receiving external support for your child and you would like to know more about how we can work together please contact me. Alternatively, please see the link above to the Victorian Government's website for further information.

St Vincent De Paul Winter Appeal

This term the St James Community will once again be supporting the St Vincent De Paul Winter Appeal.  Each year our community responds to the call to support those in our community that are the most vulnerable.

Our wonderful Year 6 Social Justice Leaders will be coming around to each class and sharing the following information with students. A box will be placed in every classroom for students to place their donations. We will then present our donations to St Vincent De Paul during our Feast of the Sacred Heart Mass on the last day of Term 2, Friday 24th of June (time to be confirmed) Thank you for your support.
