Principal Report

A word from Ian

It is really wonderful to have everyone back at school after the recent 5 day circuit breaker lockdown. It is great everyone is safe.

Year 7 2021

As our buildings are under constructions we are ready to start planning for Year 7 in 2022. We have recently advertised for an Assistant Principal to support the move into our Secondary stage of our College.

Panda

Panda visited the Prep children this morning to introduce the children to Panda badges. Children are rewarded in the classroom and school yard when they deonstrate respect, kindness, safety and striving for excellence.

Curriculum Day

On Friday March 5th children are not required at school as this day is a professional learning day for all staff. Staff will be working with a consultant on how to best support children with writing.

Parking

We have had a number of incidences where parents and community members have spoken to the school around their concerns about safety. Please know that there are 4 entry and exit points that students can use.

When dropping off or picking up your child do not;

  • park on nature strips, people’s drive ways
  • too close to corners along the road
  • double park.

It creates a real danger for children. Instead think about walking to school, dropping off or picking up your child at the gate to ensure that there is plenty of parking available.

Parents and community members have notified the Police and Local Council about these dangerous practices so they will be patrolling this area.

Information night

On March 10th we will be having an information night for each Year Level in the school. This will be via Webex sessions at the following times:

Our Colour Run is nearly here!

Easter Hat Parade

April 1st is the last day of school for Term 1 (2pm finish for all students). On this day we will have our Easter Hat Parade. The parade will be at 9.00 am and will hopefully be outside so that all parents can attend.

Thank you, Thank you , Thank you!!

Thank you to Mithil's (1G) Grandma for kindly offering to make some fabulous cushion covers out of indigenous material. You can see these cushions scattered throughout the school.

Thank you to all of the wonderful parents (led by Kylie G) who have donated food items to the breakfast club. Breakfast club operates each Wednesday morning before school - all students are welcome.

Thank you to Vihaan (1F) and Ahaan's (Prep G) dad, Arun and Shazlyn's (2C) dad, Amit who lent a hand to Conrad last week to help build our second sandpit which will be finished very soon.

We are very appreciative of all of your help!
