Room 18

Students in Room 18 have engaged in weekly STEAM sessions as part of the classroom program. As part of a unit of inquiry into Cause and Effect, students have had the opportunity to complete a range of hands-on Science experiments including Pepper Swim Away Make a Rainbow, Colourful Cubes, Vinegar and Bi-carb experiments and a range of others. As part of these experiments, students have been encouraged to make predictions about what they think will happen, observe what happens and with support, explain why the experiment worked the way that it did. Students have really enjoyed the hands-on experiments and it has been great to see the development of their scientific language across the term as well.

Middle Years Sub School News

This last fortnight, many of our students have enjoyed using a range of OT equipment during both their PE programs and scheduled movement breaks. We know that it makes such a difference for our students to use these facilities to sustain engagement during structured work sessions in class. They also love to have fun in these spaces along with their peers.
