Parent's Association
The MPS Parents Association hope that everyone enjoyed participating in the events this year. As a community we raised more than $18,000. This money has been used to:
• Assist with the refurbishment of the current 3/4 Unit (2/3 Unit next year)
• Purchase Lego for the STEAM lab.
• Fund the Fruit for KIDS program.
All these events could not happen without the time that parents put in to organising and helping out during the events. A number of committee members have been helping the PA for more than four years and will leaving the committee at the end of this year. The PA would like to thank the following committee members who will be taking a step back after more than four years of help:
• Dora Batchelor for being President of the PA and leading the way for five years!
• Rebecca Bennett for her role as Treasurer and making sure the numbers add up.
• Prue Munroe, Natalie Lanyon, Carolyn Ray, Joy Veith and Simone Pamamull who all took on different roles and organised many events over the last few years.
To the current committee members, thank for stepping up and offering to help. There is an exciting year ahead as we bring back some events that have not been done for a couple years. Next year’s fundraising will start with the Family Fun Night and Welcome BBQ on Wednesday 13th February 2019. The Car Boot Sale will be back on Sunday 17th March 2019.
