Sports News, Biomechanics Ice Hockey Excursion

The Year 12 Physical Education class went on an excursion to IceHQ in Reservoir, where they got to gear up in all the equipment and have a go at ice hockey. The class had a quick skating, passing and puck handling (dribbling) lesson before being provided with the opportunity to play in a modified game of ice hockey.

The excursion provided a rich experience for students as they had never played ice hockey before and were able to link in with the key knowledge and skills that are a part of the Year 12 PE study design. We were also able to collect some valuable data to be used for the first SAC of the year.

All students returned to school in one piece!
