Britannica

Craigieburn Secondary College has decided to introduce the Britannica database at our school.

Students and staff here at CSC already have access to the EBSCO range of databases and now, with the addition of Britannica, there will be even more opportunities for improved learning outcomes.

Britannica is a trustworthy, relevant, age-appropriate source of information and resources for school students.  Britannica features encyclopaedia articles, journals and periodicals, multimedia, primary sources, games, and other learning tools that are curriculum aligned and support student research and classroom teaching.

We have assessed the value and security of this software with guidance from the Department of Education and Training.  However, should you have concerns, or you want your child/children to opt out of using this new database, this can be addressed with the school - Craigieburn Secondary College, 9308 1144 or Craigieburn.sc@education.vic.gov.au

This software will be rolled out across the school on 31/3/2023.  Further details can be found in the related COMPASS post or via the following link - Britannica Education - School & Library Resources (eb.com)
