Staged return to school

This week we saw children returning to school, for some it has been seven weeks since they were at school.  It was wonderful to see the children arrived with big smiles and lots to talk about with their friends. 

Next week, Wk 4 we will continue the staged return to school with Kindergarten, Year 1 & 2 Monday & Tuesday  and  Year 3 /4 & Yr 5/6 Wednesday & Thursday. 

School will also be open to the children of frontline workers & those students that do not have adequate supervision/care at home.

Important Information for Week 4

Learning experiences - The teachers will continue to provide the Online Learning in Week  4. Students who attend school will undertake the same online learning experiences as those students who continue their learning from home.

Health and hygiene - Regular washing of hands & the regular use of hand sanitiser is required at school throughout the day.  Additional daily cleaning of high use surfaces in classrooms / buildings, toilets & playground will take place.  Social distancing  will  be encouraged with students.  

Social distancing with adults - teachers and parents is 1.5m.   We ask that parents wait outside the school grounds at the beginning & end of the day - Drop Off &  Pick Up time. The children will be brought to South Street by a teacher at PICK UP TIME each afternoon 3pm. Please be aware of the 1.5m distance when you come into the school office area.

Students who become unwell at school will be moved to the sickbay. Parents will be called to collect students who are unwell.

High-risk students and staff - any Students & Staff who meet the NSW Health of ‘higher risk’ should not attend school.

Students returning to school will need to:

Wear their full school Winter Uniform,  

Bring their own food & water bottle, (students are not permitted to use the bubblers except for refilling their water bottle),  

Bring the equipment supplied for learning at home.

Term 2 & 3 Winter Uniform

Please make sure your child's Winter Uniform is organised for our return to school. The children need to wear their school tie, school hat & school track suit for Sport Days. Our Winter uniform is compulsory if for any reason your child is not wearing the correct uniform please send in a note or a phone the school.
