WALK TO SCHOOL DAY

NARANGA ACTIVE DAY

As most of our students arrive to school by bus or car, our VCAL students in the Health and Wellbeing elective decided to plan a special day for our Junior School to enjoy the health benefits of walking.

Naranga Active Day was an opportunity for students and staff to get active and walk five laps around the BER building with their class. After completing five laps each student collected a token that was designed by the students to exchange for a healthy snack. The students tried out healthy recipes and taste tested them prior to cooking for the event. Our students made healthy muffins using carrots, zucchinis, cheese, mushrooms and capsicum.

Mrs McNeil and I would like to thank students and staff that took part and Cristina for taking our photos. Thanks to the Music Elective students for also helping out on the day.

Everyone enjoyed the lovely weather, exercise and snacks.
