Careers

This is an important time for all Year 12 students as they make decisions about pathways, study, and work for next year. This is a good time to talk to your friends, parents, and teachers, and most of all do your research! A range of useful resources have been posted in the Careers Team folder and on Compass in the Careers folder.  You can also book a careers interview with me to get assistance with course advice and setting up your applications. My advice would be to open a VTAC account to keep your options open.

The following recordings will provide information in setting up your course application, SEAS and Scholarship applications and early entry courses.

There are several Virtual Open Days coming up. To make the best of the open days:

  • Write down a list of questions you would like to ask about particular courses – if they are not addressed during the virtual event, you can always follow up with the institutions later
  • If the event allows Q & A, make sure you ask lots of questions!

During Term 4 all students will be creating a careers e-portfolio. The portfolio will support students in developing an action plan that will assist them to:

  • Focus on your goals and plans for the future
  • Work out how you are going to achieve what you want relating to school, work and life
  • Review, reflect and learn more about yourself as you progress through school
