Hi everyone!

2022 Class Lists - Parent/Carer Feedback

This year PCT have decided to implement a new software platform called ‘Class Solver’ to survey both individualised teachers and parents/carers to inform the process of formulating class lists for 2022. Teachers will be asked to complete survey questions to outline each of their students’ individual needs, specific supports, peers they work well/do not work well with required: as key information to develop balanced class groups. JSA-centric ‘Student Characteristics’ filters have been developed, including the following areas that we hope that you could provide further context, such as:

  • identified medical conditions
  • welfare supports (external)
  • planned number of days attending dual placements in 2022
  • suggested names of 3 peers that your child might work well with

This is not mandatory, however, we ask that you email these requests and information to your child's current classroom teacher no later than Monday, 30th August.  Please contact the school if you require the email address for your teacher.

School Events (POSTPONED)

Sadly, due to our extended Lockdown 6.0, we have needed to postpone the following events:

JSA Mini Olympics Day

Our JSA Mini Olympics Day this term has been rescheduled for Monday, 18th October (Term 4, Week 3). Our Student Leaders are certainly looking forward to planning this 'amazing' day with Kaboom kids Sports for all JSA students to enjoy.

JSA Scholastic Book Fair

As a result of the extended lockdown, we have also needed to postpone our Scholastic Book Fair to the following dates in Term 3, Week 10:

  • Primary Sub School - Monday 13th September
  • Middle Sub School - Wednesday 15th September
  • Secondary Sub School - Thursday 16th September

Due to our DET Covid-related Guidelines, parent volunteers are not permitted to be onsite. Our staff will support students.

On their allocated day, we will provide your child with a 'Student Wish List' to bring home. If you so wish, can make digital purchases directly to the Scholastic Website. Purchase details will be outlined on the Student Wish List itself. This will allow us to then track your orders and forward them back to you in early Term 4.
