Education in Faith

The sacrament program has been revised for the remainder of 2022.  After consultation, the course of action will be for the sacramental content to be taught within the school and the sacramental event led by the parish.

This commenced with the evening session for parents on August 3, at St Mary's Mt Evelyn that aimed to deepen the understanding of the purpose, sacrifice and commitment relevant to each of the sacraments.

Those who intend to proceed and make a sacrament attended a mass of commitment on the weekend of august 6/7.

Candidates are then encouraged to attend Sunday mass as often as possible throughout the preparation for the sacrament.

Sacramental cost and dates

Reconciliation is likely to be mid week in the evening - $0

Eucharist will be at a Sunday mass during November - $20

Confirmation will also be a mid week ceremony - $50

NOTE All money will need to be paid directly to the parish, not the school.
