Year 5 English News

This term Year 5 are enjoying the novel 'The Goldseekers' by Greg Bastian which is a fascinating story of the goldfields of Lambing Flats- the hardships, injustices, and triumphs of the human spirit. There has been much discussion around the themes and events throughout the story.

This novel links in with our studies in History of the Goldfields in Colonial Australia. Our previous excursion the the Bathurst Goldfields has proven to be most valuable in heping students understand what life was like in the 1800's.
