Keep up regular movement breaks throughout the day, and make sure you get your 30 minutes of exercise each day.  Are you getting your 8 hours of sleep too?

The Google PE classrooms are set up, and it is wonderful to see so many students who have joined their class.  Go check out Maddy's plank & see if you can beat her!

Do activities together, encourage each other, or compete against each other... and don't forget to record your "PB" for the AOTW - the wall sit - how long could you do it? Try and beat that minute!

Week 5's AOTW is crunches, so get ready...

30 minute activities

  • Go for a ride around the area – if you have an App you can track how far you have ridden.  Keep a record in your Activity log and see how far you are walking, running or riding... can you track the distance and see if you have travelled from your home to the city?
  • Yoga – have fun with Cosmic Kids Yoga

Early Years – “Betsy Banana” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40SZl84Lr7A

Lower Juniors - "Trolls"

Upper Juniors - "Minecraft"

Senior students – Energy Practice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F47hdaNXwT4

  • Meditation – Zen Den “The Listening Game”
  • Musical Cushions - Who says you can’t use this party staple indoors? Minimize the chance of small accidents and the disruption to your loungeroom by playing a chair-less version of Musical Chairs. Give each child a cushion or pillow: these will be the spots that kids try to sit on when the music stops. Best played with siblings, but teddies can make it imaginative too…
  • Freeze Dance Party - Most kids love to dance or just be silly, so this is a great way to get kids moving indoors. Play a CD or stream music on a computer, and let the kids shake it off. I’ve found this option is best for short periods of time, generally no more than 5-7 minutes: any longer and things start to get a little crazy! Pause the song & see if they can freeze!

Have a great week - I can't wait to see what everyone is doing each day :)
