Being a Learner:
Thank you to all the students and families who are getting to their Google Meets on time. We love hearing your strategies of how you are getting ready to be a learner.
-setting an alarm
-having 'get ready' checklist (example: wake up, breakfast, shower, dressed, teeth, stretch)
-motivating a peer to be there too
Birthdays
KEEP AN EYE ON THE POST! We are mailing the birthday cards for students having their birthdays during Remote Learning. These are being back dated for any student who hasn't recieved their birthday card and should have.

Star Student Virtual Raffle
We had 32 names on the wheel this week!
Staff are submitting positive behaviours through our school reporting system. There names are then draw by a digital 'Wheel of Names'.

Aussie of the Month
Aussie of the Month program recognises personal endeavour, achievement and contribution to the community and reflects some of the values we share, such as fair go, mateship, respect and inclusion.
The April award winner is:
Dathan from JJAC (and his mum).
Like many families in our Naranga community, Dathan has been working with his mum to be great home learners.
The May winner will be announced in the newslette on the 29th May.

The best thing I've heard of this week...
Senior Dunn have been writing stories. Their theme was 'dragons'. They read their first draft to each other on 'Google Meets' and will now start to edit them on 'Google Classrooms'.
Friendship Cup
Kane, Nathan and Rorey (Pathways students) have been great at connecting wiht each other online. They work together to keep each other informed.
