Mr Hyatt

It's Nearly Time To Say Goodbye To 2022!

Over the last week, every morning there are a large number of excited students when they arrive at school as they would like to know where our two Christmas elves are. I know personally, they have been causing a lot of mess wherever they have shown up and hopefully they won't appear in my office in the very near future.

When we are speaking of Christmas, it is that time of year again when we are starting to wonder, where has the year gone? It only seemed like yesterday that all of the students were walking through the school gates for the first time this academic year. The year has gone so quickly and yet when I was in the process of organising my principal's reflection for last night, I realised that we as a school community have accomplished a lot over the last ten months. 2023 has been full of highlights and we only acknowledged the tip of the iceberg of what we have achieved together at our Presentation Night last night.

I am not going to go over each aspect of what I have mentioned previously but again I would like to thank everyone personally who came and took part in the celebrations last night. It was fantastic that after three years we had the chance to have a presentation night where we didn't have to abide by any COVID restrictions. We were able to come together as a school community and take part in the various acceptances of awards as well as viewing all of the cultural talents St Patrick's has to offer.

I do apologise if I didn't get the chance to catch up with you and your family at the barbecue last night as I was involved with the packing up of equipment that took a lot longer than I had anticipated. But thank you to all of the parents who assisted in any way with the running of the barbecue, the food was absolutely fantastic!

So where to next? There are a number of events that will be taking place in the last few years of the school year. Students' books, artworks and other classroom belongings will be sent home in the very near future. Tables and chairs will need to be cleaned as well as installing new furniture in our primary classrooms. Also, I better start thinking about tidying my office for next year.

Tomorrow, we will be officially farewelling our Year 6 students again at our End of Year/Year 6 Graduation Mass. On Wednesday, our Year 6 students will be taking part in a Graduation Lunch, and next Friday, we will be finishing off the year with a pool party in the afternoon.

Congratulations to the School Leaders for 2023

As I had mentioned last night, I really find it hard to announce who are our official leaders for the 2023 academic year as I know all of our future Year 6 students are considered leaders of the school and are expected to be positive role models for the school community.  Some of the positions hold special responsibilities such as representing the school at events such as Diocesan Masses, Remembrance Day & ANZAC Day.

School Captains 2023 – Annie Patterson-Kane & Hamish Clark

Sport House Captains Red -Lachie Provost & Blue - Olivia Hoy

Best wishes for 2023.

2023 School Fees

With the rise of the cost of living including the price hike of essentials like: electricity, fuel, food and other basic items for living going through the roof and it looks like this will be the new norm for the very near future. Instead of raising the school fees in accordance with the rise in inflation as I am meant to, I have decided to keep the school fees for the 2023 academic year at the same amount as this year. I hope this helps all of our families in some small way.

The 2023 school fees are as follows:

One child in a family = $1455 per year.

Two children in a family =  $2765 year.

Three children in a family = $4074 year.

Carols by Candlelight - December 13th
