Artist In Residence

In Week 6, the Year 1/2 students were immersed in the ‘Artist In Residence’ program with Emma Stenhouse and Anthea Rafferty. The students told their story through natural materials and explored different paint mediums and methods using watercolour, acrylic paints and wooden dowels. We were blown away with the students' creativity and along with their own knowledge of Country. Below are some examples of the art that the students created.

Book Week 2022 - 'Dreaming With Eyes Open'

The Book Week theme this year encourages students to visualise and imagine the words in their favourite picture books. In Week 8, the Year 1/2 students excitedly participated in numerous Book Week activities. From choosing their preferred Shortlisted book to engage with through listening, discussions and creatively themed activities, to dressing up as their favourite book characters and writing all about it. The fantastic week was topped off with a whole school parade where we were able to celebrate the joys of books and reading.

Spelling Homework - Week 9 & 10

In weeks 9 and 10 the students will be focusing on the prefix re- (meaning repeating or

 backwards). There will be spelling homework in Week 9 with this prefix focus, however there will be no spelling homework in the last week of school. The students will be using this week as a revision week during reading and writing sessions. Thank you for the support you are giving your children with their spelling homework each week.
