Election Day BBQ & Cake Stall

On Saturday 24th November our school hosted an Election day Sausage Sizzle and Cake Stall to feed our local hungry voters! Despite the patches of drizzle everybody was in good spirits with a steady stream of customers eagerly buying up our home baked goodies and chowing down on a sausage or two.  We cooked and sold 70 kg of sausages with 12 kg of onions along with about 40 loaves of bread and lots and lots and lots of cakes! The event was a great success with a complete sell-out!

It was fabulous to see our school community coming together to support such a wonderful opportunity to raise some additional funds towards future projects at our school. We were overwhelmed with the number of baked goods we received and the generosity of our bakers and by the volunteers that gave their time to price baked items, set-up stalls, cook and serve sausages, sell cakes and pack and clean up. We’re excited and proud to report that we raised $3190 on the day and without your efforts it wouldn’t have been possible. To all involved the Fundraising team would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for all your time and effort to ensure we had goods to sell and for the smooth running of the BBQ and Cake Stall on Election day.

We would also like to make a special mention and thank you to Sandra Monaghan and Brian Lees for all of their help in supporting this event and two local businesses for their generous donations for our Sausage Sizzle – Porterhaus Butchers and Bakers Delight Ascot Vale/Showgrounds.
