Gr 5/6 Cricket Carnival

On Tuesday 13th November our boys and girls cricket teams travelled to Oak Park to compete in the first round of the state wide T20 Blast cricket carnival.  We had a great day with both teams improving their cricket skills.  At the end of the rounds our Boys team was successful in making the final and produced some very exciting hitting, bowling and fielding to win the game by 32 runs.  Well done to both teams and we look forward to seeing how our boys team qualify for the next stage.  A big thank you to Jack Newman and Shalendra Nand for umpiring, coaching and sharing your cricket knowledge with our teams throughout the day!!

North Western Metro qualifiers at Windy Hill on Tuesday 20th November.  The boys played three close contested matches and finished the day playing off for 5th v 6th against Pascoe Vale South.  Pascoe Vale South were victorious but MPW produced their best cricket for the day with some big hitting, sharp fielding and all round great team work.  Thanks to Jas Nuredini and all the parents and carers who helped with transport.
