News from around the College

The St Mary’s Chess team have for the first time in the schools history been awarded second place in the NSW Country Schools Chess competition North West Region.

This year sixteen schools took part in the knock out competition and games had to be played both face to face and on-line. This was a challenge the St Mary’s team were prepared to persist with and in the end we were very pleased with our achievement.

Thank you once again to Mr Heap (Community volunteer) who has supported our Chess players this year.

Mrs Samantha Kennedy
