News from One/Two
This week, as part of our creative topic on Robot Buddies, our 1/2 class were lucky enough to have a visit from the Yarra Junction library with their Blue- bots. The children really enjoyed learning about coding the Blue-bots. Here are some pictures of the fun and learning we had.
The children had to think about the sequence in which they needed to give instructions to their robot. They soon realised that they needed to remember their left and right and give very clear instructions as robots cannot ask clarifying questions.
As we are learning about paragraphs, here are some paragraph writing about why the children had such a good day on Tuesday (when the robots came to St Josephs).
Please remember that at this coming whole school assembly on the 14th of August, the 1/2 children will be hosting (singing, reading, and showing you what amazing work they have done). If you have anything second-hand that is green to bring in, it would be wonderful for the short song we will be singing. Thank you very much for your assistance with this. Also, thank you so much for the boxes that have been brought in, keep these coming as we create and make our robots over the next few weeks.
Have a lovely restful weekend and as always if you need to be in contact please email.
Kindly,
Jacqui Tarquinio and Terry Foley
