From the Principal

Dear Families

It is a time of year when we look forward to Christmas and celebrating the birth of Jesus through Advent.  In classes, students have been learning about Advent through class liturgies. It is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the signs and symbols we associate with Advent. We use the symbol of an Advent wreath with candles, the lighting of candles on the Advent wreath symbolises the coming of Light (Jesus) into the world and that He will show us the way to live and love.

The four coloured candles represent the four weeks of the Advent season and the four themes of Advent –

hope,
preparation,
joy and
love.

As we come towards the end of the school year there are also a number of events for you to be aware of for your calendars.
