Unit 3/4 Biology

This week, students in Unit 3/4 Biology designed and carried out an experiment to test the effect of factors that affect the rate of enzyme activity. They used liver as a source of catalase enzyme, and hydrogen peroxide as the substrate. Students then measured the product by collecting oxygen in their apparatus set-up.  Students gained knowledge in key science skills including investigation design, data collection, and analysis of data.
