Year 7 students rise to the challenge

While Year 7 students have been working hard online, they have also risen to the weekly challenges set on their Google Classroom. These challenges have included focusing on what they are grateful for, an opportunity to say thank you to their teachers and to rate the book they are reading.

Students indicated they are grateful for their family and friends, the opportunity to keep learning and the comfort of being at home with a warm bed, Netflix and snacks.

Some lovely messages of thanks were sent by Year 7 to their teachers as they work to make online learning fun and engaging, including:

Year 12

As Year 12 students work and prepare for their HSC, information and advice continues to be provided by NESA regarding major works and assessment. In Week 9, Year 12 students will complete alternative assessments in some subjects, with other subjects choosing estimations as the appropriate method to finalise assessment results.

The Year 12 Formal has been rescheduled to Tuesday 16 November in the hope that restrictions in place at the time allow for it to proceed.

Randomly selected Year 12 students have been surprised by the arrival of a small care package at their front door, designed to provide a positive moment in the day and to remind everyone that we are constantly looking for ways to support them.

Who will be the recipients in the coming weeks?

The Morning Show

All Year 12 students are also encouraged to join our very own Morning Show - Tuesday to Thursday, in their Connect MS Team, for a chat and some positivity to start the day.

So, what exactly is The Morning Show?  Read more about this exciting initiative on the following page.
