Online circus performance a winner!

Students from the Support Unit were able to view Circus Quirkus through Microsoft Teams and the students had an absolutely amazing time. They were glued to the screen!

Ayesha was delighted, Jeremy laughed as did Ruby, Christina and Jahana.   

After the Purple class students had viewed the circus show, we sent the following thank you letter Circus Quirkus 2021.

Dear Circus Quirkus team 2021,

Thank you for letting us see your show. The students in the Support Unit at Cecil Hills High School watched the show from the comfort of their homes on their devices via Microsoft Teams.

I am so proud of the students and their families for taking on this task. I am equally proud and ecstatic that the performers, producers and team of Circus Quirkus has put together this performance.

I observed my students watching the show during the performance. They were smiling and laughing with enjoyment. It was a pleasure to watch the expressions and effects that show had with side-splitting laughter, gasps of awe, widening eyes in shock and the surprised faces.  At the end of it all, we came together to discuss the acts. The students range in ages from 15-18. They have special needs and are very receptive. Here are their thoughts on the show:-

My favourite performer was Johnny Balance, because of what he did in the circus with the ring and the chair. The acrobats did a good job. (from Ayesha)

My favourite part was when George had the big balloon over his head. Thank you for the show. (from Jahana)

My favourite part was when Lil was trying to get George’s attention. It was funny. All of the actors were so funny. (from Ruby)

I liked the ventriloquist with the dog because he was funny and everyone started laughing. (from Christina)

Watching the Circus made us feel happy and we hope that you are happy too.
