Fish gutting experience

Year 9 Marine Studies

We started the experiment by putting on gloves and one safety glove. We then went to benches with the fish to start gutting it. While we were waiting for Rewana and Emma to scale their fish we took photos with the fish. Once we finished we started scaling the fish. All the scales went into Aaliyah's hair but it’s okay we moved on. Then we started opening it and gutting it all out. Aaliyah then started shoving the knife through its eye socket. I tried to filet the fish but unfortunately I only got a little bit of meat (lol).   Malvika Kumar

It was a good experience and a fun time when we scaled the fish. The fish went everywhere (hahaha) Dominic and I were cutting it open and we got all the fish organs out and the poo (eww). Even though we didn't get such a big fillet, it was still fun. We also took the fish's eyes out, it felt like an orbeez. Then after we had to wash the knives and clean the box, pack up and get ready for the bell.  Xavier Parrish
