In our Support Unit
The Purple Class Paper Engineers
This term, the Purple Class are learning about the properties of paper and its capacity to be used for multiple functions.
To date, our Purple Class has successfully collaborated with each other and their teachers to build tables, bridges, boats, slides, and a roller-coaster style marble run using only paper (and some tape).
It continues to be a wonderful journey with the Purple Class learning to appreciate the strength and flexibility of paper as a material through a hands-on and collaborative approach.

Bowling History was created in the Support Unit on Tuesday, 24 May 2022, with Zaeem Rehman achieving two strikes and an astronomical score totalling 150!
Mrs Lee, who accompanied Zaeem, was just as ecstatic as everyone else in the Support Unit.
Congratulations Zaeem we are all so proud of you!

Shining Stars
Students from the Support Unit participated in four dance workshops as part of the Shining Stars dance program. Students attended Ashcroft Public School as part of rehearsals for their upcoming performance, in Term 3 at Campbelltown Arts Centre. We cannot reveal too much about the dance item but what we can reveal is that it will have a space theme. Students from Cecil Hills High School will be treated to a preview of the dance item on Friday 24 June as part of the 25th Anniversary celebrations.
Congratulations to the following students: Izack Pokorski, Dane Knudsen, Christian Kupkovic, Ruby Wiegold and Christina George. A special thank you to Ms. Caroline Hassan and Mrs. Shery Le for supporting the students during the dance workshops.

Come and Try - Athletics Carnival
On Tuesday 3rd May students from the Support Unit attended the Come-and-Try Athletics Carnival at Campbelltown Sports Stadium organised by the NSW School Sports Unit.
It was a beautiful autumn day and the sun was shining. All the students were so excited to participate in the track and field events. They enjoyed participating in javelin, shot put, discus and long jump. The students competed in 100, 150 and 200m sprint events.
Aylin Bektas in Year 7 and Valentina Nguyen in Year 9 who are wheelchair users got the opportunity to be fitted for adapted walking bikes which enabled them to participate in the 100m and 150m sprint. This is the first time the girls were able to compete in a race using their legs and without their wheelchairs. What a great achievement and as you can see from their wonderful smiles it's safe to say they enjoyed every moment.
Congratulations to all the students and staff for a fantastic day of athletics!
