Flashback Friday

I'm Jake Fenech and I graduated from Cecil Hills High School in 2014

When I finished my Higher School Certificate

I always wanted to pursue a career in sport!  I started out as a Consumer Business Trainee with Parramatta Eels,  working across the team’s membership and merchandise departments. As part of my full time employment during my time at the Eels,  I completed a Certificate III in Business Traineeship through AFL Sportsready,  I finished the traineeship midway through 2015 which is when I gained permanent employment!

Shortly after, I was able to secure a full time permanent job in the Club’s membership department as their Membership Services Officer. I held this role for almost two years. I then transitioned to the Club’s Sponsorship team, where I spent a further two years before transitioning into a sponsorship role at Penrith Panthers for a total of three and a half years.

What I'm doing now

After spending a combined seven years working across the Parramatta Eels and Penrith Panthers NRL teams, I have recently started my own business - The Sports Corp.

Getting my initial gig at the Eels, winning the 2015 Sportsready Trainee of the Year Award and starting my own business!

Memories from school

There are so many wonderful memories from my six years at Cecil Hills High School - too many to list!  Some of my standout memories would have to be the friendships I formed with students, as well as with teachers - some of which still remain today!

While school seems like a lifetime ago, we had some great memories but up there would have to be our HSC Maths class led by the great Mr Abdioglu I would say.   

Ms Vidot was an absolute gem, as well as being our year adviser. 

I have to mention Mrs Koloveros  - she was one of the best teachers I ever had!  Her passion for her class and for her students just couldn’t be matched - not to mention the Baci cholocates!  It was a very fun environment to be around with a few laughs along the way!
