Life after school - 

Featuring Rosalind Sou

I was a student at Cecil Hills since Year 7 and graduated from Year 12 just last year in 2021. Though I have tried many retail jobs, my main passion in the world was getting into business for myself. I learnt this motivation from my family, and can say I gained valuable skills from my Business Studies course. On leaving school, I was unsure where all this would take me. 

So, I met with someone that shared similar feelings about business to me but with a focus on optometry. She and I banded together to form a business partnership and made a plan that would change both of our lives for the greatest… to open an optometry store in Cabramatta.

After months of planning, building and buying, we officially opened on the 29 May 2022 .It has been a great feat for us and I hope to keep achieving more!  I have plans to study Optical Dispensing but for the moment my focus is on establishing a successful business.

My time at Cecil Hills High School, and the support of my teachers and other staff, have helped me be the person I am today. I have the courage to pursue my dreams. It was important to me to let Mrs Green know about this milestone in my life.

Enjoy school while you can,  because I honestly miss the place.
