Outstanding success for Year 9

Twilight success

On Monday 23 May, Cecil Hills High School held a Twilight Athletics Carnival where students were able to compete for the next sporting stage in a variety of activities such as high jump, sprints, long jump, etc.  A few of our dedicated Year 9 students came to participate, despite the rainy and cold weather conditions and said that they had a whole heap of fun!  We are so grateful that our students were given the opportunity to show their athletic abilities and spend some time outside of school with their friends!

A huge thank you to Ms Saliba and all the staff involved in organising such a spectacular evening!

Superstar Sadeer!

An enormous shout out to our Year 9 SRC superstar Sadeer Al-Zuhairi who is absolutely rocking it with his Karate skills! Sadeer was awarded two silver medals and a gold at the recent New South Wales Karate Championships. We look forward to watching you chase your dreams! What an absolute champion. Well done, Sadeer!!

Year 9 Tuesday Sport

As a basketball fanatic myself, I have been fortunate to take the Year 9 Basketball Sport group every Tuesday. As their Year Advisers, it is so rewarding to see all the students come together every Tuesday afternoon and play a sport that they love whilst ensuring that everyone is included and feeling like they are part of a team. The teamwork and sportsman ship shown every week is commendable! The Year 9 Sport group have strategic teams each week - 2 teams play at one time, the first team to score stays on and the other teams rotate. Here are some snaps of the awesome team work during last week's basketball filled afternoon!

Watch this space, there are definitely some champions in the making!
