Opens Boys Touch Football

Congratulations!

On Friday 20 May, our Opens Boys Touch Football team had their central venue day at Milperra. On a gloomy Friday, the boys had to compete in  tough games.  With limited practice time they were able to get cohesion together to have a competitive side. Signs were promising, winning their first game 6-2 but when it came to one of the favorites of the competition, the boys fell just short. With a close game until the final 5 mins, we were able to hold Ashcroft to only 2 tries before they showed their skill running away 6-2. The third game was a strong 3-1 win putting Cecil Hills in a position to qualify for the quarter finals with a win in the last game. However this was not the case with the boys falling just short.

I wish to congratulate all the boys who represented the school and showed the true meaning of sportsmanship and team comradery. Special thanks to Marko Music and Brendan Prasad who were our designated captains for the day and did a wonderful leading the team.
