What is happening in the Middles?

The Middles have been exploring our rich history of Immigration to Australia that spans over 250 years. We began our journey through Immigration when we visited the Immigration Museum last term. We looked at objects from immigrants who had travelled to Australia in different periods of time. 

“The Immigration museum was great. We learnt so much about people who had settled here from their home countries because of so many different reasons” - Neve 

“We discovered our great-grandparent's names in the tribute garden because they immigrated from the Netherlands. My mum showed me on the stones in the wall” - Samantha

This week, the students have created a class timeline outlining the main events that shaped our Immigration history. They used websites, books and historical documents to find out what has impacted our multicultural society we have today.
