Athletics

Well done to our school Athletics Team that competed at the  District Athletics on Friday 16th August at Aberfeldie Park.  MPW finished equal 2nd overall!  Thank you to Lisa, Jill, Ben and all the parents who helped out on the day.

The following students qualified to compete at Division Athletics on Tuesday 3rd September at Keilor Park: Kai H, Logan J, Charlotte MP, Finn Mc, Orlando P, Olivia R, Demi S, Jake S, Lachlan T and Taisei W.

Good luck to Logan (200m) and Lachie T (Hurdles) who now go on to Regionals after finishing 2nd in their events!!

Basketball

On Friday 6th September we had 1 boys team and 1 girls team compete at our District Basketball Carnival.  Thanks to Julie D and all the parents who came and supported.  We had a great day with our boys team finishing 2nd in our pool with 4 wins and 1 loss and our girls team won 2 out of their 5 games.

Fun Run

On Friday 30th August MPW held its 28th annual Fun Run.  We had terrific weather and it was great to see the school community come together. 

A big thank you to all the parents, carers, grandparents who volunteered to cut fruit, stamp hands, supervise corners and drink stations, we can’t hold this event without you so thank you for your support.

We also had former MPW student Lynden Dunn (Collingwood FC) come in on Thursday to promote the Fun Run and share some of his experiences with our students.
