Pizza:  Hawaiian and Spicy sausage 

Upper Juniors enjoyed making the pizza base from scratch and trying these two different pizza toppings. 

Pizza base: 2 cups self-raising flour

                     40g butter

                     ¾ cup milk 

Ingredients for Hawaiian: tomato paste, a few slices of ham chopped and small can of pineapple pieces

Spicy sausage: 1 teaspoon oregano, 1 teaspoon garlic, 200 g mozzarella cheese grated, 1 red onion, thinly sliced and 2 Cabanossi sausages, sliced diagonally

Method: 

  1. Sift flour into a bowl, rub in butter, then add enough milk to mix to a firm dough. 
  2. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface, knead lightly until dough is smooth. Roll out dough large enough to fit a greased 30 cm pizza pan. 
  3. Spread paste over dough and top with fillings, herbs and cheese. Bake in hot oven 200 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes, or until crust is golden.
