Hi everyone,

 

Welcome to term two - here are a few updates from the PA:

Mother's and Special Person's Day Stall is coming up soon

  • Helper Opportunities - the PA have a few more helper spots available for Thursday 11th for set up and on Friday 12th for the running of the stall. To sign up please use THIS LINK.
  • Food Donations - we are now turning our attention to food/perishable donations for the stall. Food donations need to be wrapped and labelled with ingredients and the date the product was made. Unfortunately, we cannot accept donations that require refrigeration or that contain nuts. Crowd favourites include, caramel popcorn, slices, jam, biscuits and chocolates. Donations can be dropped off at the office up until 9.00am on the day of the stall.
  • The Stall - is happening Friday, the 12th of May. Don’t forget to send a maximum of $5 per child so they can buy their mum or special person a little gift to let them know how special they are! A reminder will be sent home with each child early next week.

2nd Hand Uniform Shop

Is opening again soon on Thursday 18th May 3.00pm to 3.40pm and Monday 5th June 3.00pm to 3.40pm. Remember, your kind donations can be made at any time to reception.

Art Installation

Last year after a special Junior School Council vote, the PA committed funds to a new art installation at school. At the same time the school was working towards further establishing our school as a culturally safe environment and deepening our implementation of the Marrung Aboriginal Education Plan. The PA felt that it would be really meaningful to support the installation of a prominent artwork to be seen and enjoyed by the whole school community. After a little chat with Dan Whiting (2DW), as the art project liaison, we are pleased to hear that a new installation is on the horizon. Watch this space!
