Congratulations to Junior Egan who won the Sustainability Star award for the great effort demonstrated during tree planting. Now classes will need to regular observe the trees and shrubs they planted to see if they need watering and check on their growth over time.

Junior Gray did a great job planting native shrubs in an area at the front of our school.

To conclude National Tree Planting Day, the Junior School contributed to a 'Greening Naranga' quilt with drawings of ways to encourage wildlife, insects into our garden spaces. This quilt was Naranga's entry in the Planet Ark competition. Students also enjoyed participating in the colouring competition. Congratulations to Dylan, Mason and David for winning our garden prizes. Each student has starter kits to grow vegetables, sunflowers and strawberries. They will enjoy watching the plants develop and trying the produce.

I would like to thank the Junior School students and staff who participated in this year's National Tree Planting Day. You have helped us to improve our school environment with more trees and shrubs. Job well done!
