Anxiety Management Group

For some people, anxiety can become a problem. Worries can start to feel uncontrollable and people can start avoiding important activities. Using evidence based strategies, we help to identify and manage many different sorts of problem anxiety.  Four week program held each  Wednesday starting on 14/10 from 12:30-2:30pm at Hackham Community Centre. Infant Massage

Easy strokes and movements that caregivers can use to play, explore and support baby's wellbeing and flourishing. Massage can help to build a conversation with baby around what secure touch feels like.  Held each Wednesday (21/10-18/11) from 10:30am-12:00noon at Hackham Community Centre, 72 Collins Parade, Hackham. Catching Waves for Wellbeing

Junction Australia are excited to announce a collaboration with Surf culture in presenting a FREE 7 week program supporting women survivors of Domestic or Family Violence in gaining confidence, body awareness and physical health. Bookings essential. Ph 83923080.  Held each Thursday (29/10-10/12) from 12:30-2:30pm.

National Deadly Fun Run Championships

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island and non Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people are invited to participate in our local Southern Deadly Fun Run National Championships on Saturday 17/10 at Rotary Park (Cnr Beach Rd & The Esplanade, Christies Beach) from 9:30am for a 3km or 5km walk/run.  Free BBQ and local live music to follow the walk/run. A great day out for all abilities and ages. The event is wheelchair and pram friendly. Friendly dogs on leads are welcome.  Ph Darjana 81861102 if you need further information.

We're In This Together Next Steps

Life Without Barriers' (LWB) is piloting Assertive Outreach Alcohol and other Drugs services for people with identifiable alcohol and/or other drug dependency who have previously not engaged with services. The service aims to help build the skills and resilience of family members who are seeking to support a loved one.  Ph 81939400 for more information or open the flyer below.

The Ice Skating Edge

We love ice skating and know many residents in the south miss the old ice rink in Noarlunga, therefore we decided to build one in the ex Masters building next to Colonnades.  Ice skating sessions are now on every weekend and during the school holidays.
